Bluefaced Leicester Wool - gray BFL, Biotayarns BFL wool - BFL wool to spin

A carded cloud preparation for hand spinning or felting created from locally produced, natural colored, Bluefaced Leicester wool.  This listing is for 4 ounces of carded 5" staple length BFL wool in a natural gray color.

This natural colored gray BFL wool is raised here at Dakota Carding and Wool and was gently harvested in Fall 2021 from Joe our BFL Ram.

We wash all of our wool with eco-friendly soap. This BFL fleece was then carded into a fluffy cloud which will spin a lofty woolen yarn. This carded preparation works well for felting also.

Spinners accustomed to commercial combed top, which can require significant predrafting, will likely find this carded preparation easy to spin. The fibers are processed gently to help retain the unique characteristics of each fiber.
